IN OFFICE EXAMINATION

We are always excited to meet new patients during their first visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination, including time to answer the following questions:

Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until after more growth and development has occurred?

What are the options for treatment approaches?

How are we going to get space?

How long will treatment take?

What is a ballpark cost?  Will insurance help??

Are there payment options?

Records

We know your time is valuable, so if treatment is indicated, we will follow up the examination by taking diagnostic records consisting of X-rays, photographs of the face and teeth, and scans for digital study models. This information is necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan.

VIRTUAL EXAMINATION

Virtual examinations powered by Smilesnap offer the advantage of being able to get some of your questions answered BEFORE the first visit to our office.  Especially in these times, we are trying to make orthodontic care possible with fewer visits.

Using the Smile Assessment pop-up on our website, we can virtually view photos you have taken at home to determine the answers to the following questions:

If treatment is indicated, we will schedule an appointment for a more thorough examination and for diagnostic records consisting of X-rays, photographs of the face and teeth, and scans for digital study models. This information is necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan. Of course, the recommendations presented on the virtual Smile Assessment are subject to change based on these diagnostic records and verification of your dental insurance benefits.

CONSULTATION

At Reach Orthodontics the consultation appointment sets us apart from other orthodontic practices. After careful analysis of the diagnostic records, Dr. Hatcher sits down with each family to discuss problem lists and treatment plans for optimum results. We feel it is important to analyze each patient’s specific needs, because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction. The consultation appointment is also where we discuss treatment times, and arrive at agreed upon financial arrangements including payment options, insurance benefits, and available flexible spending plan benefits. We insist that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take.

Insurance

Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services.

Scheduling

We will schedule appointments as promptly as possible. Because your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you, we kindly request a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel any appointment.

Financial Policy

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Please remember that you are ultimately responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance.
